TECH2009 is a one day interactive career information conference for young women in Hamilton who are interested in learning about career and training opportunities in the skilled trades and technology sectors.

Developed by the Hamilton Training Advisory Board and funded in part by Employment Ontario,this year marks the 10th Anniversary of TECH and TRADES in Hamilton!

 When is TECH 2009?

TECH takes place Tuesday November 24, 2009 from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm

 Where will TECH 2009 take place?

TECH 2009 will take place at the Hamilton Convention Centre, in downtown  Hamilton ( next to Hamilton Place).

Who will be participating at TECH 2009 ?

The audience of TECH2008 will consist of 200 young women who are considering their career options, including:

• 150 female students from local high schools (Grades 10-12)

• 50 young women who are out of high school and looking at new career options

There will be 35-40 women working as TEAM LEADERS for the day, sharing their expertise and insights into careers in the trades and technology sectors.

There will also be 25-30 interactive displays in the EXHIBIT HALL where all participants can try out tools, skill tests and  games  as well as speak 1:1 with the exhibitors and team leaders.
